介系詞 like 與 as

我們用介系詞 like 來比較兩樣相同或類似的東西。

He looks like his father.

他看起來像他的父親。

It's not like you to be so quiet - is there anything wrong?

這麼安靜,不像是平常的你 - 有什麼問題嗎?

It's not like what you think.

它不是你想像的那樣。

It ≠ what you think


我們用介系詞 as 來說明某人的工作或是某樣東西的用途。

She works as a team leader in this project.

她作為這個計劃的組長。

It could be used as evidence against him.

它可以被用來作為指控他的證據。

like 也可以當連接詞,連接兩個所比較的子句

You look like you've won the lottery.

你看起來像你已經贏了樂透。

She looked like she'd had some bad news.

她看上去好像她有一些壞消息。


上述兩個句子所使用的 like 是比較通俗的說法。正規的說法最好用 as though 或 as if。

You look as if you've won the lottery.

She looked as though she'd had some bad news.


like 除了當介系詞與連接詞外,它也可以拿來當動詞(喜歡、要)、名詞(喜好)、形容詞(相似的)、或是副詞(感覺像)。
