To the south of Australia, there is an island called Tasmania. On the island of Tasmania, 1 are Tasmanian devils.

The Tasmanian devil is the world's largest meat-eating marsupial. After they are born, baby devils are carried in the 2 for about four months. They grow to the size of a small dog and can live up to seven or eight years.

The devil has a large head and short tail, and its body is mostly black. It can sound and look very fierce. In fact, the call of the devil is a 3 that many people never forget! This is one of the reasons why people who first came to Tasmania many years ago called the animal the Devil.
